Our goal
Stories of the Heart aims to connect people in hope. Stories have been used for centuries to convey hope and love. We want to continue this tradition digitally. With self-written stories about hope, love and better times, to help anyone who needs it. The stories are narrated in different languages, so that they are truly accessible to everyone.
Let's connect as much as possible through love, words and positivity.

Why it is so important
At a time when war seems to dominate the news, we want to offer a counterbalance. A sense of connection with the world instead of division. We hope that Stories of the Heart can give people a boost in places where hope and love are needed. In times of crisis, stories about hope, love and better times can be listened to and told. That we can show people that there is also a counterpart to all the pain: love. Within those stories, we want to connect with each other. To contribute to a better world.
Will you join this project?
If you want to write for Stories of the Heart, we think that's fantastic. Your story will be narrated by a speaker and shared in different languages as a YouTube video. You will, of course, be credited as the writer of the story.
A writer for Stories of the Heart also writes from the heart, with the aim of inspiring and helping others. The vision is to offer hope and support through words.
Write your story in English (or in your native language and translate it into English) and send it to us as a PDF. We can also translate it into English for you.

If you would like to record the stories for Stories of the Heart in your native language, we would be delighted. We will send you the stories in English, and you can translate and record them in your own language. Film yourself as you record them, in the most lively and hopeful way possible. You can send us the video and we will post it on our website and YouTube channel. We will send you some guidelines in advance to help you get started as a speaker.

We are Marijke Prevoo and Silvie Hurkmans. We share a love of stories and helping others. We regularly work together on our own projects. We both work with writing, reading, reading aloud and coaching.
